Menopause Awarness in the Workplace

What Participants Will Learn

Perimenopause and menopause, often referred to as “the pause”, is a natural life stage experienced by many employees during the peak of their careers. Yet it remains one of the least understood workplace experiences.

Symptoms such as fatigue, sleep disruption, brain fog, anxiety, hot flushes and joint pain can affect confidence, concentration and wellbeing at work, but many employees feel uncomfortable discussing their experience due to stigma or lack of awareness.

Unify360’s Menopause Awareness Workshop helps organisations understand the workplace impact of the pause and develop practical, inclusive strategies that support employees while strengthening culture, retention and leadership capability.

Why Menopause Awareness Matters

Women aged 45–55 are one of the fastest growing segments of the Australian workforce, with many holding leadership and specialist roles.

Research shows that:

  • 83% of women report menopause symptoms affecting their work

  • Almost half experience a drop in confidence

  • Many feel they must hide symptoms at work

Organisations that build awareness and supportive practices see benefits including:

  • Improved retention of experienced employees

  • Stronger inclusive leadership

  • Increased engagement and wellbeing

  • A culture where employees feel supported through life transitions.
